Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing while supporting select accounting functions. This role requires strong attention to detail, compliance knowledge, and the ability to handle sensitive employee data. Ideal candidates will have payroll expertise along with exposure to accounting tasks (AP/GL/reconciliations) and experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN).


Key Responsibilities

Payroll

  • Process bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll for multi-state employees using ADP Workforce Now (WFN)
  • Ensure payroll accuracy, including wages, deductions, bonuses, and commissions
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws
  • Handle payroll tax filings, W-2s, and other regulatory reporting
  • Maintain payroll records within ADP WFN and ensure data integrity
  • Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies within the system
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues
  • Partner with HR for new hires, terminations, and benefits updates

Accounting Tasks (AT)

  • Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries
  • Perform account reconciliations (payroll, taxes, benefits)
  • Support month-end close activities
  • Assist with accounts payable (AP) and expense reporting
  • Support audit requests and documentation
  • Ensure proper allocation of payroll expenses

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field (preferred)
  • 3-5+ years of corporate payroll experience
  • Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN) (required or strongly preferred)
  • Knowledge of multi-state payroll laws and compliance
  • Familiarity with accounting principles (GAAP basics)
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) a plus
  • Experience supporting both payroll and accounting functions
  • ERP system experience (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
